The villa of Egypt's national team captain and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah in Cairo was robbed by thieves who managed to enter it, and the security services began investigating the incident, after seizing the surveillance cameras.

The Egyptian newspaper "Al-Ahram" stated that the security services of the Cairo Security Directorate are working to uncover the circumstances of the theft of the villa located in the First Settlement area, and to identify the missing items after the theft was reported.

She added that the incident began with a communication from Muhammad Salah's cousin, stating that while he was passing through the villa, he found that one of the windows in it was open, so he doubted the matter and brought the keys to the villa and entered it, and found that there was a scattering of its contents, and some of it was stolen.

The Egyptian security services seized the surveillance cameras around the villa, and the statements of the neighbors and the site guard were heard in order to quickly uncover the mystery of the accident and apprehend the perpetrators.

According to the newspaper, the detectives' inspection of Mohamed Salah's stolen villa in the First Settlement area showed that the thieves stole money and jewelry.

Yesterday, Mohamed Salah participated in his team’s match, Liverpool, against Bournemouth, in the 27th round of the English Premier League, which the “Reds” lost with a goal without a response, and the Egyptian star missed a penalty kick.

Salah is scheduled to arrive in Cairo next week to participate in a preparatory camp for the Egyptian national team, which will start on March 20, in preparation for the Malawi matches in the third and fourth rounds of the Group D competitions for the African Nations qualifiers, whose finals are scheduled for Ivory Coast early next year.

Egypt started the qualifiers with a difficult victory over its guest, Guinea 1-0, and lost to its host Ethiopia 2-0 in the second round, and the same applies to Malawi, who beat its guest Ethiopia 2-1 in the first round, and lost to its host Guinea 0-1 in the second.
