The penultimate competition weekend of the Alpine Para World Cup ended today with a downhill race in the Italian Sella Nevea.

As Ebba Årsjö doesn't really ski downhill and has had to sit out some competitions, she is second in the overall World Cup.

Leading is the German Anna-Maria Rieder.

Yesterday the Swede went downhill and today she won by 1.5 seconds ahead of Rieder.

- It looks a bit dark when it comes to the overall victory, so that's why I stood up, to get points, says Årsjö.

The reason why Årsjö stopped running downhill was that she does not have the strength in her muscle-impaired right leg.

It reminded me when she was going anyway.

- So it wasn't so much fun.

I really didn't want to.

It didn't feel good.

It was heavy, with many right footers being heavy.

It was just that I made it.

It's not fun, not good and I don't really want to.

It was just forehead bone, she says and continues:

Årsjö now has 180 points up to Rieder in the overall World Cup.

The fact that she seems to miss her goal feels tough for the 22-year-old.

- It was hard yesterday when I drove out.

It's hard now because I know it will be very difficult.

I know I've won everything I've put myself into, but due to some financial difficulties we haven't gone to all the races.

It is very sad that it is the way it is.

How does it feel that the economy can keep you from reaching your goal?

- It is difficult to accept.

Yesterday was very difficult.

Both skaters and coaches know that it is the way it is.

It is slowly getting better, but we are far behind other countries in alpine skiing.

It is sad that you are punished so that you do not reach your goal.

Four races remain in the World Cup.

They are in Cortina from Tuesday to Friday next week.
