It's set for a record breaker.

During yesterday's race, Mikaela Shiffrin reached the same number of World Cup victories as Ingemar Stenmark (86) and very little indicated that there would be anything other than a Shiffrin win on Saturday in Åre as well.

And in the first run, the American sovereign delivered.

With starting number five, she crossed the finish line almost a full second ahead of Wendy Holdener, who had been fastest up to that point.

Directly after Shiffrin, it was time for Anna Swenn Larsson and she went level with the American in the middle part and finished second, 69 hundredths behind.

Hanna Aronsson Elfman was not much slower, 1.22 seconds behind Shiffrin was the fourth best time after the first run.

Sara Hector was ninth after the first run, 1.98 seconds behind Shiffrin.
