While Armand Duplantis spoils us with world record attempts in every other competition, it is forgotten that very few jump over six meters in the pole vault.

But last night Sondre Guttormsen did it, as the first Norwegian ever.

- Sick!

It has been a goal to go over six meters ever since I was little and knew what pole vaulting was, says an overjoyed Sondre Guttormsen to NRK.

The record came in a college competition in the United States, NCAA, when he jumped the dot six meters high.

In doing so, he broke the Norwegian pole vault record (5.90), touched the NCAA record and became college champion for the second year in a row.

Last year, only Armand Duplantis and the American Christopher Nilsen jumped over six meters.
