It was in April 2022 that IFK Norrköping announced that Kristoffer Khazeni would be away from football indefinitely.
Four months later, they announced that the cause was a malignant cancerous tumor in the brain.
Khazeni underwent a successful operation in May and told us in August that he will never fully recover from the cancer.
- There is much that is still unclear.
I take it day by day and don't think about when, or even if, I will be able to play football again, he said in an interview on the club's website in August.
But now, seven months later, Kristoffer Khazeni is in IFK Norrköping's match squad ahead of Saturday's quarter-final of the Swedish Cup against BK Häcken.
