- I want to pay tribute to Hanna Öberg who makes a great stretch. Elvira fights bravely, but unfortunately there are too many extra shots for Linn Persson and Anna Magnusson, says SVT Sports expert Helena Ekholm.

Öberg had the strong skaters Marte Olsbu Röiseland (Norway), Anais Chevalier Bouchet (France), Denise Herrmann (Germany) and Lisa Vittozzi (Italy) ahead of her in the track and even before she came to the shot in the last shoot it was clear that Sweden would finish fifth.

Elvira Öberg sent out big sister Hanna 1.16 behind the lead in fifth on the final fourth leg after just one extra shot, a stable race.

There was then almost a minute missing from the podium.

- I am satisfied with my distance and the ride is going in the right direction, says Elvira Öberg.

Magnusson switched in ninth

Despite four extra shots on the first stretch, Linn Persson was fifth at the changeover, 13 seconds behind leading France.

On the second leg, Anna Magnusson changed ninth after a fall, just over a minute behind leading Germany.

This after four extra shots.

- It didn't go well at all.

I toiled but nothing happened, it was a setback, says Anna Magnusson.
