It was an eventful evening at Spezia's home arena, the Stadio Alberto Picco.

Especially in the final stages of the match, a lot happened.

Then, in the 83rd minute with Spezia leading 1-0 after Milan loanee Daniel Maldini's goal, Inter were awarded a penalty after Salva Ferrer tripped Inter's Denzel Dumfries instead of clearing the ball - which he attempted.

Nzola in the center

From the penalty spot, Romelu Lukaku made no mistake - but just four minutes later the referee again pointed to the penalty spot.

This time, seconds after M'Bala Nzola hit the post, it was to give Spezia a penalty.

This is because Dumfries had just before that pushed Viktor Kovalenko in the back.

The same Nzola who hit the post was safe from the penalty spot, making it 2-1.

Inter in second place

That result stood the match, and Spezia is now six points below Verona below the relegation zone.

Inter remain in second place behind Napoli, but can lose it to Lazio if they defeat Atalanta tomorrow.
