Djurgården advanced after an overtime thriller against Leksand.

In the semifinals, even tougher opposition awaited Djurgården - namely Brynäs, which together with Luleå dominated the series.

And it didn't get any easier.

After a strong start, Brynäs came close to taking the lead both in the first period in the power play, and in the second period the puck danced at the goal line and Djurgården's 20-year-old goalkeeper Selma Luggin saved.

Goalless after full time

The third period also remained goalless after a slight advantage by Djurgården, when neither team came up with a normal performance, and the match went to extra time.

- It feels completely open, says Ulf Lundberg to C More, the national team captain for the Women's Crowns.

It was Brynäs who immediately took hold of the baton, and in extra time Austrian Anna Meixner put in an open goal after a nice pass by Lara Staldner.

- We are happy that we got the victory in the end, it was a really tough match, says goal scorer Meixner after the match.

The next meeting between the teams is played on Friday.

The semi-finals are played in the best of five games.
