According to media reports, Manchester United coach Eric ten Hag punished his players in 6 different ways after the humiliating defeat by Liverpool by seven clean last Sunday.

The Dutch coach seemed furious on the bench after every goal the "Red Devils" received from Jürgen Klopp's men at Anfield.

Ten Hag also made no secret of his anger at his players' post-match performance.

Criticism in public

"It was a real surprise for me," Ten Hag told a news conference. "We lost the game very quickly after the second half."

He continued, "The first two goals were the result of two defensive errors, then the third goal came from a counterattack and also an unprofessional (reaction) from the players who did not follow the ball or run behind it and gave space to the opponent's attackers."

He explained, "The result was 3-0, the match ended, as a team you have to hold on and this is what we did not do. It was a surprise to me, I did not see this from my team. I do not think we are Manchester United. It is really bad (luck)."

All of the #mufc players reported for training by 9am this morning.

Shut up and listen

The British newspaper "The Mirror" reported that Ten Hag also forced his players to sit in silence in the dressing room to listen to the celebrations taking place around them at Anfield after the match.

It seems that he told them to use this sitting as an incentive to make sure that they would not repeat this performance, and defeat in this way again.

The British newspaper "The Sun" claims that the Dutch coach was "very angry" after the humiliating defeat he suffered.

And the report adds that no player escaped Ten Hag's wrath, which lasted for several minutes.

Reserve and youth team

The British newspaper "The Mirror" also claims that Ten Hag threatened to put senior players on the bench if they repeated the performance against "Liver".

A source told the newspaper: "Ten Hag was obviously furious and told them they were lucky to catch the team bus to Old Trafford and not have to take the fans back to Manchester."

"He warned them all that if anything like this happens again, there will be no chance for them and they will be sent to the under-21 team," the source continued.

Early morning training

And according to the British Daily Mail, Ten Hag asked all players to be present at the Carrington Training Center at 9 am on Monday.

Relive the nightmare

And if all of the above were not enough, media reports said that Ten Hag forced his players to watch a summary of the match, goals and highlights in it, to show them their mistakes and performance.
