Three bronze and one silver were Sweden's results in the indoor EC in Turkey.

Henrik Larsson, Fanny Roos and Carl Bengtström secured the third places, while Thobias Montler took second place.

- I am super happy with the squad and think we overperform.

Our players have had a fantastic attitude, performed well and we have generally had the margins with us when we needed it, says national team captain Kajsa Bergqvist to SVT Sport.

"You always want more medals"

Swedish medalist Andreas Kramer, fifth in the 800 meters, and Khaddi Sagnia, seventh in the long jump, were without a medal.

While Armand Duplantis stood over the championship.

- It is clear that you always want more medals.

I really hope we get there.

The more we work together and the more inspiration the younger ones can get from the older ones, the better, says Bergqvist.

Where would you say Swedish athletics stands?

- We have a very strong national team with superstars and a generation that comes from below, so I think we are doing well.

The established stars have experience from championships and go in and perform.

Then we have a young generation who are incredibly hungry and are about to step up to compete in a senior context.
