On Monday, the Swedish handball men gather for the first time since fourth place in the home WC at the end of January.

The opposition is represented by Spain, who defeated Sweden in the bronze medal match.

The team has to make do without right-hander Albin Lagergren and left-hander Lucas Pellas, who were forced to withdraw due to injury.

Union captain Glenn Solberg has called up Andreas Lang and Jonathan Svensson to the squad instead.

Lang has made a previous international match with the men's national team, while Svensson gets the chance to make his debut.

- Both have been good and developed nicely in their respective clubs, it will be exciting to see them in this environment as well, says Solberg to the Swedish Handball Association's website.

Sweden meets Spain in Linköping on Wednesday and plays the return match in Jaen, Spain on Sunday.

Both matches are broadcast on SVT.
