Brynäs took the lead 4–1 in the middle of the second period but HV71 reduced it twice again and created tension in the match.

When HV71 took out the goalkeeper in search of an equaliser, Hannes Björninen put 5-3 into the open box, his second complete hit in the match.

- We fought for our lives and it was fun to watch.

We know the seriousness of the moment.

I think we have lined up good performances lately and it was about time the pucks fell in, says Brynäs team captain Anton Rödin in C More.

"Looking forward to the next two games"

Brynäs got the match off to a flying start and led 3–0 in the first period.

Then HV71 crept closer before the dramatic decision in the third period.

- We lost in the first period, they were much more intense and wanted more than us.

I'm positive anyway, we have a good trend.

I'm looking forward to the next two matches, says Johan Lindbom, coach in HV71, in C More.

The victory means that Brynäs and HV71 both stand on 62 points with two games left in the regular season in the fight to avoid qualification.

HV71 remains in twelfth place thanks to eleven plus goals against Brynäs.
