It is unclear when LeBron James can be back on the basketball court again.

In Sunday's game against Dallas, the Lakers overturned a 27-point deficit and ultimately won, but at a high cost.

The Lakers superstar, and the world's all-time leading scorer in the NBA, fell heavily in the third quarter.

He was able to continue, but limped off the field and has an injury to his right foot.

Some American media state that he could be out for weeks, something that the club neither confirms nor denies.

- It is unfortunate that Bron fell, but injuries are a real part of our sport.

We have to step forward and hold positions until he is back, says coach Darvin Ham.

Chasing playoffs

The absence is especially noticeable as the Lakers are currently in twelfth place in the Western Conference but are chasing a tenth place, and thus the chance to qualify for the playoffs via the so-called play in tournament.

- We must continue to play the right way, we must continue to stick together and we must also continue with the mission, says Ham and continues:

- The assignment has not changed for us.

The goal of securing a playoff spot is still alive.
