Senegalese star Sadio Mane, Bayern Munich striker, revealed the scenes of a short meeting he had with Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, the Saudi star of Al-Nasr, last summer.

Mane joined Bayern Munich last summer, after spending 6 seasons in Liverpool, and at that time Cristiano was a player in Manchester United.

Mane confirmed, in an interview with the German newspaper "Bild", that he had met Ronaldo, who was spending his summer vacation on the Spanish island of Mallorca.

The Senegalese player said: "I met Cristiano in Mallorca after I completed my transfer to Bayern Munich .. He congratulated me and told me that I had chosen a great team."

"He also said it was a great step for me," he added.

And the Senegalese star continued, "His words confirm what I have already said about the strength of the German League, which many underestimated."

Sadio Mané: "J'ai rencontré Ronaldo avant de rejoindre le Bayern, il m'a dit que c'était un énorme club et que c'était un grand pas pour moi".

Mane returned to participate in the Bayern Munich matches after 4 months of absence due to the injury that hit him in the right fibula of his foot.

Mane entered as a substitute in the match in which the “Bavarian” team defeated Union Berlin, last Sunday, in the 22nd round of the German League.

Mane did not hide his desire to play Bayern Munich against Paris Saint-Germain, on March 8, in the second leg of the final price of the Champions League.

"I hope to get more playing time and reach my previous level before the PSG match," Mane said.

It is noteworthy that Mane suffered this injury days before the start of the 2022 World Cup, which was held in Qatar, and because of which he missed the World Cup.

Mane joined the Senegal national team participating in the World Cup, hoping for his recovery, but the injury was stronger than expected, so the player returned to Germany.

Since joining Bayern Munich, the "Lion of Teranga" has participated in 24 matches in all tournaments, scoring 11 goals and providing 4 assists.

It is noteworthy that Mane had succeeded with his former team, Liverpool, in winning 6 titles, which are the English Premier League, the FA Cup, the League Cup, the European Champions League, the European Super Cup, and the Club World Cup.
