Theodor Lennström made a welcome comeback in Karlstad before last season when he joined from Russian KHL team Nizhny Novgorod.

At home in Färjestad, he played a big role when the club secured its tenth SM gold last year.

This season will be the last in purple this time for Lennström, who has signed a contract with an unnamed Swiss club, valid after the playoffs.

- When we got 'Teddan' home, it was to finish the season with us.

We are of course grateful that we were then able to extend and get another season, even if we had hoped for more.

Like last year, we believe and hope that Lennström will play his best hockey during the remaining games of the season, says sports director Wallin.

Lennström himself is honest about the reasons behind the move.

- The career is short and there is nothing to be proud of other than the fact that the economic conditions are completely different in Switzerland.

Färjestad has done what they could to keep me, no talk about it.

I hope the door is open for me the day I decide to come back to Sweden.

Färjestad plays away against Rögle on March 2.
