In January, the IOC opened the door for Russian and Belarusian athletes to compete under a neutral flag as early as the Olympics in Paris 2024.
It has outraged many in the sporting world, and 30 governments signed a letter to the IOC demanding a clearer definition of neutrality.
Tomas Axnér, Sweden's confederation captain for the women's national handball team, is not positive about the question either.
- That is a tough question to answer.
On a personal level, I am not very keen to compete against Russian and Belarusian participants, says Axnér to SVT Sport at a press conference.
Even the UN later expressed its support for the proposal, which was later met with criticism.
- It's not something personal against them, it's more based on how the situation is.
It is a confederation and the Swedish Olympic Committee that makes that decision, and I correct myself based on that, but it does not feel 100%, he says.
