From having been a big personality on social media and world-famous among the younger audience, the now 26-year-old Jake Paul has built a real hype around his boxing career in three years.
In fact, before tonight's match in the Saudi capital of Riyadh, he had not lost a single one of his six pro fights, but on the other hand, he had received some criticism for not facing someone who is not trained as a classical professional boxer - but mainly MMA- profiles.
“Will come back”
But last night he suffered a loss for the first time.
Undefeated Tommy Fury, younger brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, won on points.
- I will come back.
I think I deserve a rematch.
It was a great and even match, said Paul in the ring after the match.
"No one has believed in me"
Tommy Fury was really happy after the match.
- During my struggle these two and a half years, I have had a dream and a vision and no one has believed in me.
Now everyone can see and learn, he said.
