The long-distance star Ida Dahl set a high speed from the start in today's Tjejvasan and after a short while she set off together with the Norwegians Magni Smedås and Emilie Fleten.

But slightly worse skis than the competitors meant that Dahl had to fight extra, especially at the beginning of the race.

- I toiled extremely hard the first 15 kilometres, she says.

Became sprint time

In the end, there was a sprint battle between the three, where Fleten had to give up.

Magni Smedås instead looked to be heading for victory, but Ida Dahl made a strong comeback and passed the Norwegian in the last meter.

- I thought it's not over until it's over.

It's super fun, I'm really happy, says Dahl in SVT's broadcast.

SVT's commentators were not sure of the outcome.

- I think Smedås is ahead, said Anders Blomquist.

- But she does it sensationally well, says Jacob Hård about Ida Dahl.

Ida Dahl: "Extremely worn out"

"Is completely exhausted"

After the finish, Dahl got to see the drama on the big screen and had the feeling that she was ahead.

She also got the wreath around her neck after reviewing the target photo.

- I thought I felt a little ahead, but you never know, you're completely exhausted.

Forge:

- I would have needed a size bigger on the boots today.

Ida was strong in the sprint and gave me a good match.

But this turned out to be a good run-through.

There was a strong starting field in Tjejvasan, and many Ski Classic top skiers chose to use the race as a refresher before next Sunday's Vasaloppet.

World Cup rider Moa Lundgren finished fourth in her first Tjejvasan, 1.50 behind the winner.
