Panama's women's soccer team beat Paraguay 1-0 in the intercontinental qualifiers in New Zealand, clinching the final spot at this summer's World Cup.

Lineth Cedeño, who was substituted at the start of the second half, headed in the winning goal in the 75th minute to send Panama to its first World Cup finals.

Panama, who will play in Group F with Brazil, Jamaica and France, is the third country to clinch a place via the intercontinental qualifiers.

Earlier this week, Haiti and Portugal also qualified for World Cup games, which is the first time for both.

The championships are played in Australia and New Zealand between July 20 and August 20.
