Real Madrid and Napoli approached the quarter-finals of the Champions League, after the first defeated its host, Liverpool 5-2, and the Italian team beat Eintracht Frankfurt, with two goals without a response, in the first leg of the final price of the main continental competition.

In Liverpool, Real Madrid overturned a two-goal deficit against its host, Liverpool, to an exciting 5-2 victory.

Liverpool was able to win early after leading by two goals, but the recklessness in performance and wasting easy opportunities, in addition to the skill of Vinicius Junior and the brilliance of Karim Benzema, brought Real back to the match.

The night was disastrous for Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who gifted a goal to Vinicius Junior, before Benzema manipulated him in the fifth goal.

And before that, Thibaut Courtois, Real Madrid goalkeeper, made a mistake to guide the Egyptian Mohamed Salah a goal.

Darwin Nunez put Liverpool ahead early in the fourth minute with a wonderful goal with the heel, after a quick start to his colleague Salah on the right side, who gave him a charming pass.

Salah added the second goal in the 14th minute, after a fatal mistake by goalkeeper Courtois.

Vinicius Junior narrowed the deficit for Real Madrid in the 21st minute, after an organized attack that began with a group of short, elaborate passes between the feet of Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior, which the latter ended with a shot from inside the right of the penalty area, which hit the net in the left corner of the goal.

Vinicius took advantage of a catastrophic mistake by the Liverpool goalkeeper, who tried to pass the ball, but it hit the Brazilian player and bounced into his own net in the 36th minute, with Real Madrid equalizing the score 2-2.

Eder Militao added the third goal with a header in the 47th minute, taking advantage of a free kick carried out by Luka Modric to the right of the Liverpool penalty area, next to the corner flag.

Benzema scored Real Madrid's fourth goal with a shot from the edge of the penalty area that hit defender Joe Gomez and deceived goalkeeper Alisson and into his own net.

In the 68th minute, Vinicius finished a quick counterattack with a through pass towards Benzema, who is alone in the goal, to dodge goalkeeper Alison and put the ball into the net, scoring the fifth goal.

Thus, Real Madrid put forward in the quarter-finals of its favorite tournament, which is defending its title after its victory over Liverpool in the final of the last edition.
