In addition, there is no quota limit for newly transferred domestic players from the Chinese Super League, China A and China B clubs.
The transfer and registration of players from the Hong Kong, Macao SAR and Taiwan regions shall be handled in accordance with the relevant procedures in the "Notice of the Chinese Football Association on Relevant Regulations for Players from Hong Kong, Macao SAR and Taiwan Regions to Participate in the Professional League in 2018" (Society Zi [2018] No. 36).
Naturalized players are transferred and registered as domestic players, and other procedures are handled in accordance with relevant regulations.
The processing time for foreign-related transfer registration is subject to the processing time for domestic transfer registration of Chinese Super League and Chinese Premier League clubs.
The registration quota rules for foreign players are as follows:
1. In the first transfer window, each Chinese Super League club can register no more than 6 foreign players; each Chinese Premier League club can register no more than 3 foreign players.
2. In the first and second transfer windows, the cumulative number of foreign players that can be registered by each Chinese Super League club cannot exceed 7; the cumulative number of foreign players that can be registered by each Chinese Super League club cannot exceed 4.
3. Only Chinese Super League and Chinese Premier League clubs are eligible to introduce foreign players.
The Chinese Football Association stated that the Chinese Super League, China A and China B clubs can only carry out the transfer of players for the 2023 season after they have obtained the corresponding league admission qualifications for the 2023 season.
In the event of violations of regulations and disciplines in the process of handling the above work, the Chinese Football Association will punish relevant associations, clubs and personnel in accordance with the "Chinese Football Association Disciplinary Guidelines".
