After the victory and collapse in the Tour de Ski, Frida Karlsson caught a cold and missed the World Cup in Les Rousses, France.

The illness meant that she had to change her preparations for the WC in Planica.

- It's hard to say how it has affected, I don't know how it would have felt if I hadn't been sick.

Before both of my previous WCs, I have been ill, so I have bet from the bottom before and I am not worried, says Frida Karlsson to SVT Sport.

You don't feel worried?

- It is clear that you are humble about the task, but it feels better and better in your body.

"I have big goals"

She was ill for nine days before returning to training.

In her first competition after the Tour de Ski, Frida Karlsson finished eleventh in the 10 kilometer freestyle in Toblach.

- I started training hard again quite quickly.

I trained hard before Toblach and have tried to step it up again.

The tour was one of the goals this season and the victory is among the biggest I've done, so it was worth what happened, says Frida Karlsson.

The WC in Planica, Slovenia, begins on Wednesday and runs until March 5.

- I have big goals, I know what I can do if I'm in a good mood.

You just have to believe in it, says Frida Karlsson.

"Tough conditions"

She believes the warm weather can be an advantage for her in the hunt for medals.

- It's hot, so it will probably be quite tough conditions out there.

It's similar to the other WCs I've been to, so I get good vibes.
