Växjö led the series before the meeting with second-placed Skellefteå - and they never wanted to give up.

The visitors took the lead three times in the match, but the Smålands came back each time.

Jonathan Johnsson and Oscar Möller were responsible for Skellefteå's goal and Joel Kellman, Robert Rosén and Jayden Halbgewachs scored for Växjö.

Möller has now scored in eight straight games.

"Feels like both teams are afraid of each other"

It was 3-3 after normal match time and well into extra time it was Rickard Hugg who became the hero of the match.

He was played nicely by Jonathan Pudas and was able to put the puck behind Adam Åhman.

This means that Skellefteå takes over the series lead from Växjö.

- It feels like both teams are a little afraid of each other, but it was a fantastically fun game to play.

Super important to win.

The home field advantage can be very important in the playoffs, says Rickard Hugg in C More after the win.

Hugg accounted for three points in the match and his chain with Jonathan Johnsson and Filip Sandberg continues to deliver.

- We have played damn well the last 10-15 games.

We will build on this.
