This Thursday evening, Nantes faces Juventus Turin for a Europa League play-off match.

A poster that will bring back memories to Canary supporters.

More than 2,000 of them have even taken their tickets to support their team at the Juventus Stadium, before the return match next week at home.

Nantes face Juventus Turin this Thursday evening.

A splendid poster for a Europa League play-off match.

Inevitably, this match will bring back memories to the supporters of the Canaries.

And what memories!

In 1996, the Canaries played in the semi-finals of the Champions League against the Turinese.

Defeat 5 goals to 2 on the two matches.

"We feel a little bit rewarded somewhere because we pushed the team"

27 years later, Nantes has lost its luster on the European scene.

But not Juve, according to Nantes midfielder Moussa Sissoko.

"They are used to playing in the quarter-finals of the Europa League Champions League, like PSG in Ligue 1. They are great players, things are going much faster at all levels."

For the supporters too, it's a great moment.

They will be more than 2,000 Nantes this evening at Juventus Stadium.

Some left on Wednesday evening by bus, like Émilie, 22.

"It's a source of pride to be able to travel to Europe. It's something I've never done and many of us have never done. We feel a little bit rewarded somewhere because we pushed the team to make it this far."
