The first team players of the professional baseball giants, who will start camping in Naha City from the 16th, entered Okinawa on the 15th and were welcomed by fans and others.

The Giants' 1st Army players arrived at Naha Airport from Miyazaki, where they had their first camp, before noon on the 15th.

In the arrival lobby, members of a cooperative association made up of organizations and companies in Naha City held up a banner reading "Mensore Yomiuri Giants" and waited for the arrival of the players.

When Director Tatsunori Hara and the players showed up, about 200 people, including fans, cheered and took pictures.

After coach Hara and Naoki Yoshikawa received a bouquet of flowers to welcome them, they boarded the bus to pick them up.

A woman in her 40s who came from Tokyo to observe the camp said, "It's only two days, but I want to support them with all my might."

Also, a 4-year-old girl from Naha City held up a towel for Yoshikawa and cheered her on, saying, "Do your best."

The second camp of the Giants' 1st Army will be held from the 16th to the 5th of next month at the Ounoyama General Sports Ground in Naha City, and practice games and open games are scheduled during the period.
