Kylian Mbappé is in the Paris Saint-Germain squad for the Champions League round of 16 first leg against Bayern Munich on Tuesday, ten days after his injury in Montpellier.

The French striker was originally due to be out for three weeks, but trained on Sunday and Monday.

Back from injury earlier than expected, star striker Kylian Mbappé is in Paris Saint-Germain's squad for the Champions League round of 16 first leg against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

Victim on February 1 of an injury to the left thigh, the N.7 of PSG was initially to be absent for three weeks, but he trained on Sunday and Monday.

At the start of the training session open to the media late Monday morning, Mbappé notably participated in a "toro" with Lionel Messi, Neymar, Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Marco Verratti, Achraf Hakimi and Marquinhos, noted a journalist from AFP.

Messi also in the group

Asked about the possibility of seeing Mbappé return sooner than expected, coach Christophe Galtier was initially pessimistic on Saturday evening after the defeat in Monaco (3-1): "I don't think so. He follows his rehabilitation protocol. He suffered a muscle injury. We will take zero, zero, zero risk with Kylian".

Absent on Saturday in the Principality, Lionel Messi, affected in the hamstrings, is also in the group, but his return was announced last week by the club.

Also with the Brazilian Neymar, PSG should be able to count on its "MNM" for the most important match since the start of the season.

International defender Presnel Kimpembe, absent for three months but back for the last ten minutes at Louis II, is also in the squad.

PSG remain on two defeats, in Marseille in the Coupe de France and in Monaco in Ligue 1. The return match will be played on Wednesday March 8 in Munich.
