The Swedish ladies offered strong shooting during the WC sprint in Oberhof, full shooting for four out of five skaters.

Persson shot full and went out of the standing shooting three seconds ahead of Norwegian Marte Olsbu-Röiseland.
Thus, she entered the final lap with a medal win, a chance she took full advantage of.
The Swede not only held off Röiseland, she extended the distance down to the Norwegian and finally crossed the finish line five seconds ahead.
Thus, the bronze, and Linn Persson's first WC medal, was a fact.
