The Swedish ladies offered strong shooting during the WC sprint in Oberhof, full shooting for four out of five skaters.

Hanna Öberg went strongest in the track and took WC silver, just seconds from the gold won by Denise Hermann-Wick.

But the Swedish success did not end there - Linn Persson took a stunning bronze after a fantastic final lap.

First WC medal

Persson shot full and went out of the standing shooting three seconds ahead of Norwegian Marte Olsbu-Röiseland.

Thus, she entered the final lap with a medal win, a chance she took full advantage of.

The Swede not only held off Röiseland, she extended the distance down to the Norwegian and finally crossed the finish line five seconds ahead.

Thus, the bronze, and Linn Persson's first WC medal, was a fact.

- She flies past the others, cheered SVT's commentator Ola Bränholm as she slid into the riot.

"No one can stop her"

Sweden's national team captain Johannes Lukas was visibly moved after the race.

- She has a head like no other.

There is no one who can stop her at the end, he told SVT Sport.

And it was nerve-wracking at the end for the national team captain.

- It is not a sustainable environment.

It shakes the whole body, it's what we worked for all year.
