Estela Domínguez, 18, has died after being hit by a truck

in Salamanca.

The event occurred, as detailed by 112, after receiving several calls reporting an accident between a truck and a cyclist, on the N-620 at the exit of the Villares de la Reina industrial estate.

According to the information provided, the young woman, who was riding a bicycle, was injured and was unconscious.

The 112 operations room notified the Traffic subsector of the Civil Guard of Salamanca and the Emergency Coordination Center for Health Emergencies-Sacyl, which mobilized an Emergency Medical Unit.

At the scene, the emergency services confirmed the death of Estela Domínguez, from the Valladolid town of Íscar;

She was the daughter of the retired professional cyclist, Juan Carlos Domínguez, who as a professional came to win a stage in the Giro d'Italia

Estela Domínguez was in Salamanca, where she was studying Labor Relations and Human Resources at the Salamanca University.

Her passion for cycling came from her father, but Estela was an all-rounder who played all the suits in the two-wheeled deck: cyclocross, road, mountain bike and track.
