It was at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational that Axelina Johansson hit a real dream shot in her third attempt.
The record shot was measured at 19.30 – a full 73 centimeters better than her personal record and one centimeter longer than Fanny Roo's Swedish indoor record, which was enough for a European Championship silver in Torun, Poland in 2021.
19.30 gives her second place on the year's best list, where only the Canadian Sarah Mitton went further with her 19.80.
In one month, the Indoor EC will begin in Istanbul.
