Skellefteå's team captain Oscar Möller continues to pour in goals and points for his team.

After just over six minutes of play in the first period, he made it 1–0 after breaking a pass in a numerical disadvantage and getting straight forward to Marcus Högberg in Linköping's goal.

With a distinctive shot, he scored his 22nd goal of the season and point for the sixth game in a row.

But Linköping initially kept pace with Skellefteå in terms of play.

Östgötarna created at least as much as Skellefteå and after 12.07 it was tied at 1–1.

Linköping got pressure in the offensive zone and with a backhand in the middle of the "castle" Christoffer Ehn equalized.

Full throttle

In the second period, Skellefteå stepped on the gas at the bottom from the start.

With rock-hard forechecking, Linköping was pinned down and spun for long moments around Östgötarna's zone without the visitors being able to get hold of the puck.

Before half of the middle period was played, Skellefteå had run away to 4-1 after two goals by Filip Sandberg and one by nestor Joakim Lindström, who at the age of 39 now looks hungrier and fitter than in years.

But his 3-1 goal does not go down in history as one of the more delicious.

It was simply a shot from teammate Oscar Möller who was on his way outside the posts when the puck hit Lindström and was guided into the net behind Marcus Högberg.

"Make the right decision"

The middle period was completely dominated by league leaders Skellefteå, who set a pace that Linköping could not keep up with at all.

- It feels like we made the right decision out there, says the two-goal shooter Filip Sandberg about his second goal to C More.

Skellefteå's nimble forward spun freely in the offensive zone before sending a loose puck into the dense traffic in front of Linköping's goal.

The traffic was dense but the puck slipped through and into the goal.

Linköping tried to get back into the match, but Skellefteå had control over the events and the third period became a transport stretch until the final signal.

Skellefteå tops the SHL with a margin of five points.
