Tutto Mercato reports that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has surprisingly not been included in the big Champions League squad that Milan have registered for the play-offs.

At midnight on Friday was the last opportunity to register new players in the Champions League squads, which in that case means that Ibrahimovic will not play any CL matches this season.

The announcement comes shortly after the newspaper Corriere della Sera wrote that Zlatan would be allowed to make an appearance in the Serie A match against Torino on February 10, in order to then arrive a little better prepared for the CL round of 16.

Milan derby on Sunday

The speculation about when the 41-year-old is back on the football field can therefore continue for a while longer.

Ibrahimovic had cruciate ligament surgery after last season and has not played since.

Milan face their nearest rival Inter in the "Derby della Madonnina" at San Siro on Sunday evening.
