Armand Duplantis won the season opener in Mondo Classics

For the second year in a row, Mondo Classics took place in Uppsala.

Before the pole vaulting event, the protagonist talked about breaking new world records, and Armand Duplantis, as expected, managed his first jump of 5.67 by a good margin.

- It felt good.

But I won't lie, I was a little nervous, says Duplantis to SVT Sport.

Despite the season debut, it was clear that Armand Duplantis is in good shape.

5.82 and 5.91 passed without problems.

To be sure, he broke the bar on the first jump of six meters - but on the second attempt, Duplantis also managed it.

American KC Lightoot and Ernest John Obiena, from the Philippines, both cleared six meters.
