The Malmö Redhawks have had a heavy season in the SHL.

After the last loss against bottom competitor Brynäs, Malmö was in desperate need of points during Tuesday night's match at home against Luleå.

Instead, the team was down 3–0 after the first period.

- We take three expulsions and give them momentum.

It's trash.

It is not good anywhere, says Johan Olofsson to C More.

Erik Gustafsson scored the first goal of the match when he sent in 1–0.

Barely 30 seconds later, Jack Connolly added on the power play.

Brendan Shinnimin then ensured that Luleå could enter the period break with a three-goal lead, and that goal was also scored when the away team had one more man on the ice.

There were no more goals, and with that Malmö has suffered another loss in the SHL.

The team is still last, while Luleå is in tenth place.
