You can safely say that Mikaela Shiffrin has had a decent week.

It started with two first places in Tuesday's and Wednesday's giant slalom competitions in the Italian Kronplatz and yesterday it continued with another victory, her 85th in the World Cup, in the Czech Spindleruv Mlyn.

Today she had the chance to touch Ingemar Stenmark's record for number of victories in the World Cup - but even though she had a solid lead before the second round, it didn't work out and she finished second.

Germany's Lena Duerr won.

In the shadow of Mikaela Shiffrin, Anna Swenn Larsson made a solid effort.

The 31-year-old made two good runs and finished fourth, 34 hundredths off the podium.

Sara Hector didn't get it right at all in the first run and was over two seconds off the lead before the second.

In that, she stood for a significantly better effort, but it was only enough for a twelfth place.

Hanna Aronsson Elfman was really good in the first race and was only 25 hundredths behind Shiffrin at the second split, but then she crashed and the day was ruined for her.
