The 7th round of the Ski Freestyle and Moguls World Cup was held in Canada, where the women's ace, Anri Kawamura, defeated the gold medalist of the PyeongChang Olympics in the final to win her 3rd consecutive World Cup victory, her 3rd win of the season.
The 7th round of the Moguls World Cup was held in dual moguls, where two athletes compete at the same time, which will be adopted as a new event from the 2026 Winter Olympics.
In the women's event, Kawamura, a third-year high school student who had won two consecutive World Cup titles in the previous day's competition, participated in the event and advanced to the final tournament with stable skating.
In the final, Kawamura faced France's Perrine Lafont, a gold medalist at the PyeongChang Olympics.
Although Kawamura was slow in the early stages, she used her knees softly and boldly attacked with precise turns and speedy slides that did not shake her upper body.
With her points lead Kawamura won her third straight World Cup win, her third of the season and her sixth overall.
On the other hand, the men's ace Yukima Horishima, who finished 3rd in the previous day's tournament, withdrew in the middle of the quarterfinals, failing to finish on the podium for the second consecutive tournament.
The winner was last year's Beijing Olympic gold medalist Walter Wahlberg of Sweden, who won his first victory this season.
