THE ESSENTIAL

  • The France team, hitherto undefeated and in control, like its well-negotiated quarter-final against Germany (35-28), attacks this Friday (9 p.m.) Sweden, which will have the advantage of evolving in Stockholm for this undecided semi-final of the handball world championship.

  • Driven by its impressive goalkeeper Andreas Palicka, who now plays for PSG, the Swedish selection had managed the performance of dismissing our Blues at the gates of the final, during the 2021 World Cup and Euro 2022.

  • This shock, which will be broadcast live this Friday on beIN Sports 1 and on TF1, should be played in a warm atmosphere, with around 20,000 spectators expected in the Stockholm Arena.

FRANCE - SWEDEN 0-0

Kick off at 9 p.m.

10 a.m.: Hellooooooo les ballequicollix!

Do you feel the temperature rising at this handball world championship?

It was already fierce for more than a half in the quarter-final against Germany on Wednesday (35-28 in the end).

There, we can already announce to you, without taking many risks, that it will be unbreathable until the end, during this semi-final against Sweden disputed this Friday (9 p.m.) in Stockholm.

All the ingredients are there for a shock at the top: two huge undefeated teams in this World Cup, and a hell of a rivalry, with two knife clashes during the 2021 World Cup and Euro 2022, again in the semi-finals.

The last two cleaver matches between these major nations of this sport had turned to the advantage of Sweden of Andreas Palicka, each time royal against the French.

The PSG goalkeeper had notably repelled a decisive shot from Ludovic Fabregas during the half of Euro 2022 won by one goal (34-33) by his selection.

Note that Sweden will be deprived of its playing master Jim Gottfridsson (broken index finger), which changes a lot of things.

On the tricolor side, we hope to see in goal a Rémi Desbonnet as impressive as in the second half against Germany.

Come on, we can't wait to be there.

See you soon friends.

“Join us here from 8:30 p.m., we will make you live the pre-match, before the kick-off of this semi-final at 9 p.m.
