At 09:00 this morning, Jim Gottfridsson operated on his injured left hand in Gothenburg.
“Jim had surgery this morning and is doing well after waking up.
He is in good spirits and on his way back to Stockholm," writes Daniel Vandor, the national team's press manager, to SVT Sport.
The Swedish middle nine will be in the arena tonight when Sweden meets France in the semi-finals.
"He is sad that he cannot play, but charged to support the team in the best possible way at the Tele2 Arena tonight," writes Vandor.
