New thunderbolt at the French Rugby Federation: the delegate president proposed by Bernard Laporte did not obtain the confidence of the clubs.

Already forced to step back after his conviction for corruption, what will the president of the FFR do?

A steering committee will take place this Friday morning to try to break the impasse.

The walls are once again in danger of shaking at the headquarters of the French Federation in Marcoussis.

Bernard Laporte hoped that the steering committee, scheduled for this Friday morning, would ratify the choice of Patrick Buisson as deputy president.

But Thursday, after three days of consultation, the clubs said no to the appointment of the person who is currently in charge of amateur rugby at the Federation.

The Ministry of Sports continues to put pressure on Laporte

Expected in Marcoussis, the Minister of Sports should ask the steering committee to assume its responsibilities.

Two main options are now on the table: first, to submit to the vote of the clubs another candidate to occupy this position of deputy president.

Second option: that Bernard Laporte resigns and that elections are organized.

What the opposition to the Laporte camp demands.

But in the entourage of the president of the Federation, it is put forward that a change of governance, a few months before the World Cup, could destabilize the France team.
