After a strong start to the match, second-placed Skellefteå was able to defeat fourth-placed Frölunda 4–2.
It was Skellefteå that owned most of the game in the first period of the match.
Oscar Möller broke the deadlock after just over seven minutes played, and then he played through to Andreas Wingerli, who extended the score to 2–0 a few minutes later.

As if it wasn't bad enough for Frölunda, Joel Lundqvist looked to be in a lot of pain after a hit in the middle period of the match, but the 40-year-old was still able to play on.
In the third period, Måns Forsfjäll scored 4–1 before Loui Eriksson sent in the last goal of the match, 4–2, with just over a minute left to play.
