Greta and John Crafoord are competing in the figure skating European Championship in Espoo, Finland, and for the first time since 2007 a couple is participating for Sweden at a figure skating championship.

But it was very close to Swedish figure skating having to wait even longer.

It was in October 2021 that Greta fell in connection with training.

Her kneecap broke, she fractured her jaw and knocked out her teeth.

While the injury healed and eventually Greta moved into rehab as her twin brother and figure skating partner John continued training on ice.

A year after the accident, they were back on the ice and competing again.

- It was very special, big.

But it felt like I just "took the leap" right in, says Greta Crafoord.

- Everything has gone very quickly.

It went from her never being able to skate again to us doing two Grand Prix, says John Crafoord.

The Swedish pair competes today at 12.55 Swedish time.
