A media official was suspended during the coverage of the African Cup for the locals, due to inappropriate behavior

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) suspended one of its media office employees for a period of five years, depriving him of any activity related to the game, and preventing him from continuing his work in the current African Cup of Nations in Algeria after he committed "improper behavior."

(CAF) had chosen Felix Sohond Bibreb from Benin, to work in his media system to cover the tournament.

Sohound Biprep was suspended after a CAF Disciplinary Committee hearing in Algiers this week.

The committee entertained the victim, who said he "attacked" her last week and "tried to kiss her" after she went to his hotel room to get her championship credentials.

It was also mentioned in the Disciplinary Committee's decision, which was announced to reporters, that another figure gave details of receiving an inappropriate offer from Sohound Biprep while he was covering the Africa Cup of Nations that was held in Cameroon last year.

Suhund Biprep denied the accusations and said it was a plot to discredit him.

It was not immediately clear if he would face any criminal charges.
