After a brilliant final season as a junior, which was crowned with a SM gold in December, Andreas Nordebäck awaits his championship debut at senior level.

He has won medals at three international competitions and is ranked fifteenth in the world.

At the Junior WC last year he finished tenth, and took bronze at a Junior Grand Prix competition in September.

The European Figure Skating Championships will be his first championship at senior level.

"Coming to the EC as an underdog"

- It's nothing that I'm afraid of.

I will come to the EC as an underdog.

I feel no pressure.

Andreas Nordebäck is hoping for a top 10 placing, which in that case would give Sweden two places on the men's side for the next European Championship.

But he's still keeping his cool ahead of his debut as a senior.

- I expect to perform as I did last season, but I can only do my best.

I know what I can do, and I know where I stand.

Andreas Nordebäck's debut takes place at 19.28 this evening Swedish time.
