After six straight losses, Djurgården took a long-awaited victory last time against Modo.

Tonight, the Stockholm team was again pitted against a top team at home at Hovet, when Björklöven came to visit.

The away team took the lead in the first period through Elliot Ekmark.

Björklöven then extended it to 2–0, when Alex Hutchings netted in the match.

In the power play, Djurgården was able to reduce after a hard shot by Stefan Elliott, and the home team had the opportunity to equalize a few minutes later when Björklöven was sent off again.

Expanded in boxplay

But in the home team's pursuit of 2–2, Maxime Fortier jumped onto the ice, before quickly advancing toward the goal and sending in 3–1.

When Fortier jumped in, Björklöven was six men on the ice, something that annoyed the home crowd.

- I came in from the changing booth and I went as fast as I could.

I am happy with the goal, says Maxime Fortier to C More.

If the Canadian thought he was early on the ice?

- It is hard to say.

It was pretty close.

But I'll take the goal anyway, he says.

Djurgården's Daniel Brodin did not want to comment on the goal.

- We continue, he stated before the third period.

Won 6–2

In the last period of the match, Stefan Elliott scored two goals, but Björklöven went up to a two-goal lead again when Nicholas Schilkey scored 4–2.

The away team then had to celebrate twice more, when Daniel Rahimi made it 5-2 before team captain Fredric Andersson made it 6-2 in an open box.
