24-year-old Jonna Luthman injured herself in March 2022 and has been thinking a lot about the future during rehab.

She loves to train but thinks that the competitive aspect has taken away some of the joy.

- I don't have the extra enthusiasm for the sport that I used to have and the goals that I had before are no longer there.

You have to enjoy all the parts to make it all the way to the top but for me the competitive part makes it not worth it anymore, says Luthman in a statement.

The rower made his World Cup debut in 2019 and has a 30th place in the downhill race in Crans Montana last year as his best placement.

In total, there were ten World Cup starts.

- I have always enjoyed skiing and really enjoy training and constantly developing, and that is what has driven me forward.

The competitive aspect, on the other hand, has never motivated me, but rather took away some of the joy, she says.
