After the Mexican club Pumas announced the termination of its contract with Brazilian Dani Alves, who is imprisoned in Barcelona on charges of "sexual assault", his wife, model Joanna Sanz, wrote a post on her official Instagram account.

In her post, Sanz asked the media to give her some privacy.

In addition to what happened with Alves, she indicated that she lost her mother last week.

"I ask the media outside my home to respect my privacy. My mother passed away a week ago, and I'm barely beginning to accept that she's no longer there. Why are you torturing me about my husband's situation?" Sanz wrote.

And she continued, "I lost the only two pillars in my life. You should have some sympathy, instead of searching for a lot of news at the expense of the pain of others," and concluded by saying, "Thank you."

When word spread that Alves had been arrested and that the judge had ordered him to be imprisoned without bail on charges of sexual assault, his wife immediately responded by expressing her support and love for her husband, saying that she knew her husband very well.

After receiving news that the 39-year-old Brazilian international had been remanded in custody, the Pumas club management announced the cancellation of the team's contract with the player.
