Anamarija Lampic did a "Stina Nilsson" for this season and switched from cross-country skiing to biathlon.

Unlike Nilsson, Lampic has gone from strength to strength during his first season as a biathlete and, among other things, picked up two fifth places in the World Cup.

The latest in Thursday's sprint in Italian Antholz.

- I am very surprised.

If someone had said in April or May that I would be standing here now, I would have replied that it is impossible, the Slovenian star said at the time.

In other words, she had a really good starting position before the start of today's hunt, but now it is clear that she will not make it to the start.

Lampic has fallen ill and decided to travel home and rest up so as not to risk anything before the World Cup, which starts on February 8.

"Fell ill last night.

No more races for me here in Anterselva.

So sad and angry," Lampic writes on Instagram.

The ladies' hunt starts at 1 p.m. and is broadcast on SVT1.
