The lingering shoulder injury after the unfortunate fall in Ulricehamn in February 2021 made the sprint ace miss the Olympics in Beijing last year.

- I notice how I act in a competition arena like this and I like being here.

There are many parts that I am happy with and I am getting better and better every race weekend.

Give me three more races and I'll be able to answer the last part as well.

That is where I feel it is lacking, says Svahn to Viaplay.

"Went to the final as a lucky loser"

In the second quarter-final, Svahn was pitted against Sundling, where Sundling won the heat.

Svahn was behind Sundling on the uphill race.

As Rosie Brennan approached, Svanh changed tracks and controlled her second place after a tactically well-executed initiative.

Svahn chose the same tactics in the semi and got behind Sundling, who was again in the lead.

But in the race, she did not keep up with Sundling, who pulled hard and won ahead of Emma Ribom and Nadine Fändrich.

Svahn was only fourth but the heat was three seconds faster than the fastest quarter-final so the final place felt pretty clear for Svahn already there.
