The Värmland native thus defended the title she won last year, and offered a message of form ahead of the Alpine WC in France, which starts in just over two weeks.

Hanna Aronsson Elfman was seventh after the first run, but was second fastest of all in the second, winning overall by 1.06 ahead of Switzerland's Stefanie Grob in second place.

Albania's Lara Colturi was third.

When the Swede crossed the finish line, she stretched her hands in the air and offered a big smile in the finish line.

- I am so happy that I was able to do a good ride and get on the podium.

It was a very difficult and slow course, but I did my best.

It feels good, she says afterwards.

Praised by Wiberg: "Reminiscent of Anja Pärson"

Aronsson Elfman is expected to make his WC debut in France in February.

In December, she was responsible for a giant slalom run during the World Cup competition in Sestriere, Italy, and was second fastest of all in the second run.

- It reminds me of when Anja Pärson won Olympic gold on the same slope in 2006. I'm a little taken by what she does.

The disrespect she shows, not caring that she is standing there with Milkaela Shiffrin, Petra Vlhova and Wendy Holdener, said SVT's expert Pernilla Wiberg at the time.
