Seven members of the Zhejiang Provincial Swimming Team chose to celebrate the New Year in Anji, Zhejiang Province due to the need to prepare for the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou in 2022, including the national swimming team athlete Xu Jiayu, the two-time world champion in the men's 100m backstroke, and the Asian Games champion in Jakarta Zhu Menghui.
At around 11 noon on January 21, the private rooms of Zhonghui Hotel in Anji, Zhejiang were filled with dishes, such as Laoshikan Reservoir Fish Head, Xitiaoxi River Shrimp, Colorful Bamboo Forest Chicken, etc., all of which are Anji’s local specialties.

These days of training in Anji also gave Xu Jiayu a new understanding of the city of Anji.

According to Sha Sheng, director of the Anji County Sports Center, the center remodeled the swimming pool with caissons in accordance with the requirements of the Zhejiang Provincial Swimming Team. The original 4 shallow water areas were transformed into 2 channels, and the water temperature was kept between 27°C and 28.5°C throughout the year.
