Jonna Sundling, 28, was unable to train or compete for the whole of November due to a persistent cold.

In December she made a comeback in the Scandinavian Cup, but tomorrow it is time for her to compete again in the World Cup.

- I feel completely fine, based on where I come from, it has felt better and better, she says.

Since last week, she has been in Livigno on a high-altitude camp.

She does not know what to expect in terms of results when she will face the world elite.

- It is hard to say.

I haven't competed much and am coming off a long illness.

In what we are doing, it is very important to be healthy.

When it becomes such a long illness, you never know how it will turn out.

I still hope I'm in decent shape, but we'll see tomorrow.

Sundling talks about the autumn's tough period of illness.

- It was very sad, because it felt quite good before I got sick.

That is a nightmare for us skiers, to be sick for so long.

But you dig for positive things to survive and I felt that it could have been much worse.

I was not bedridden, but I could do some everyday things but not exercise.

When Sundling was back in the Scandinavian Cup in Östersund in December, she won straight away.

- I was more in phase than I thought I would be after the illness.

It was very fun to feel that what I have done can work, she says.

Tomorrow Saturday there is a freestyle sprint in Livigno and on Sunday there is a sprint relay.

After Livigno, there are World Cup competitions in Les Rousses and Toblach before the WC is decided in Slovenian Planica.

Sundling already has a secured place in the WC squad.
